The Holiday Extravaganza is a day of food, fun, and holiday cheer for the children & families of schools in underperforming areas of Los Angeles. The students and their families are invited to come out select a brand new toy, take a picture with Santa and have a nice meal to eat. During the event students will have the opportunity to win a bike or gaming device. This event is not open to the public and is by invite only.
2014 is our first year putting on the Holiday Extravaganza and we are positive that it will be a success. Here at Mothers Helping Others we choose Title 1 schools that have high rate of homeless and displaced children in attendance. The goal of the Holiday Extravaganza is to give a chance to take a break from the stressors they have to deal with in their everyday life; and lets them focus on just being a kid. Many of the students that are invited may not have the opportunity to have a holiday.
Although this is a big event for us, we at Mothers Helping Others seek to put this event on with the help of sponsors and donors. If you would like to help us continue this event by sponsoring or making a donation. Please contact us via email or phone.
